Friends Of Lake Mattoon
ARTICLE I
NAME. The name of this not-for profit corporation shall be the "Friends of Lake Mattoon" and referred to herein as the "Corporation."
ARTICLE II
PURPOSE. The purpose of the Corporation is to promote the restoration and preservation of the recreational uses of Lake Mattoon. To these ends the Corporation shall be non-political, non-sectarian, and non-profit; and shall have the authority to perform any and all acts which are necessary and proper to accomplish the purposes expressed or implied herein. It shall have the authority to take and hold property, acquire and dispose of real estate and personal property, transact business, and do all necessary acts to carry out the objectives and purposes set forth herein.
ARTICLE III
LOCATION. The location of the Corporation shall be such place or places as the Board of Directors may from time to time designate.ARTICLE IV
MEMBERSHIP. This corporation shall be organized without capital stock, and memberships shall be open to those who are interested in the objectives and purposes set forth in these bylaws.
ARTICLE V
MEMBERSHIP FEES. A nominal fee of $10.00 shall be paid by all persons desiring to become a member. All current members shall pay an annual membership fee of $10.00, payable during May of each calendar year.
